Reducing our consumption is a key piece to the sustainability puzzle. But that can be a tough sell, especially as the consumer-crazed holiday season approaches, and we’re constantly told to buy, buy, buy! Inspired by Josh Martin’s near-death wake-up call (check out his video below), the Reasons to Dream List is a fun and simple way to rethink consumption and remind each other that the road to happiness isn’t paved in possessions.  Watch the video and add your items to the list below.

This spring my husband and I welcomed our beautiful daughter in our world! She was born 6 weeks early, we spent and entire month living at Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto. We spent day and night with our precious bundle of joy never leaving her side. However our story is bitter sweet, we sadly loss our sweet baby due to genetic complications. As one could imagine this has been a devastating and tragic moment for my husband and I, and some days are much harder than others however with time we heal and we learn to take and appreciate the best of every situation. We are so blessed to have spent those precious moments with our baby, and we forever have those memories to cherish.

She is now a burning flame within our hearts that keep us motivated to push the bar higher and appreciate life’s precious tiny moments. Although difficult at times, we love to hear songs on the radio we would sing to her in the hospital, sounds of crickets – similar to the noise she made when she was snoozing away in our arms, and of course the smell of hand sanitizer as it is forever present in a neonatal intensive care unit.

And we take much pleasure in our veggie garden as we watch small seeds sprout… We take pleasure in everything tiny as navea weighed 3.3lbs… Specially tic tacs, like her cute little toes.

It’s funny what life throws at you… But it’s all about taking it one day at a time. While in the hospital we did not care about money, what we wore or even what we could afford to eat, it was just the simple pleasure of spending time together as a family and the love we share…

Wow… Sorry for the long post but felt good to write this out, Thank you!

I wish to show appreciation to you just for bailing me out of this particular issue. Because of browsing throughout the search engines and getting methods which are not beneficial, I believed my life was gone. Living without the strategies to the issues you have sorted out through your short post is a crucial case, as well as ones which could have adversely affected my entire career if I had not encountered the website. Your actual understanding and kindness in playing with the whole thing was tremendous. I’m not sure what I would have done if I had not encountered such a solution like this. I am able to now look forward to my future. Thanks for your time so much for your expert and effective help. I will not be reluctant to propose your web page to any person who wants and needs tips on this problem.
